Consumer involvement

Consumers' are the recipients of healthcare (patients or clients). Every Cochrane Review Group aims to have members who will represent the consumers viewpoint in deciding which reviews are done, what questions on which they focus, and how the results are presented. The Cochrane Consumer Network coordinates the involvement of consumers within the Collaboration.

CARG encourages the participation of consumers in areas such as: preparation of consumer relevant feed back on protocols and reviews; the writing of synopses for reviews and the development of list of consumer relevant questions.

We have set up an anaesthesia and intensive care consumer group. We would welcome involvement from consumers, who have an interest in all aspects of anaesthesia and intensive care. Would anyone interested please contact our RGC Jane Cracknell <jane_cracknell doesnotexist@cochrane.org yahoo.com>.
